This immersive sunset maternity session offers more than just a shoot-out—it's an intimate, hands-on experience with Ang, designed for a small group of attendees to provide a more personalized experience. While this workshop can be attended on its own, it’s highly recommended to pair it with the prior classroom session to build on the skills learned and apply them in a real-world setting. Although she'll briefly touch on prep and styling for the shoot, the primary focus of this session will be on practical, hands-on learning, her style of approach when working with couples more intimately, as well as sharing her techniques for capturing the golden sunset images she is known for. The style of this session will be bold, edgy, and passionate, with a focus on capturing raw emotion [may also include some implied nudity]. To provide the best experience for both the attendees and the models, class size is kept small. (*Please note: If you're seeking a more romantic, soft, and/or playful approach to intimate maternity, Ang is offering a second sunset session on July 22nd with a different style and approach.)

The teaching format involves short demo segments, where attendees will put their cameras down to observe and absorb Ang's natural workflow and client/model interactions—key elements for capturing intimate maternity. After Ang demonstrates her process, the group will be divided into smaller teams to get closer to the action and capture the shots they desire. The students will be provided with as much 1:1 support as possible, given the class size. When shooting wide-angle shots, all attendees will shoot together, while more intimate, close-up moments will be captured in smaller groups. Of course, while you spend your evening with Ang, she is an open book to ask any related questions that might come up.

Who is this class for? This class is tailored for photographers who strive to evoke more emotion in their images and become more comfortable with intimacy and passion during their maternity sessions. It will also focus on the technical aspects of shooting into the sun, capturing flares and golden glow, as well as working during blue hour. While this class is beneficial for a wide range of skill levels, it will be most beneficial for those who are very comfortable with their camera and settings so they can focus their attention on the details of the shoot and elevate their comfort level with intimate maternity and sunset sessions.
