This immersive sunset maternity session offers more than just a shoot-out—it's an intimate, hands-on experience with Ang, tailored for a small group to ensure a more personalized approach. While she will briefly discuss prep and styling for the session, the main focus will be on practical, hands-on learning as you collaborate to capture a beautifully styled, romantic, and whimsical maternity session focusing on both solo and couples posing. You'll learn Ang’s unique approach to working intimately with couples and discover her techniques for capturing the stunning golden sunset images she’s known for. (*Please note: If you're looking for a more edgy and passionate approach to intimate maternity, Ang is offering another sunset session the evening prior on July 21st with a different style and approach. She is also offering an in-class component on July 21 that is complementary to this immersive session although not required to attend) To ensure the best experience, class size is kept small.

The teaching format involves short demo segments, where attendees will put their cameras down to observe and absorb Ang's natural workflow and client/model interactions—key elements for capturing intimate maternity. After Ang demonstrates her process, the group will be divided into smaller teams to get closer to the action and capture the shots they desire. The students will be provided with as much 1:1 support as possible, given the class size. When shooting wide-angle shots, all attendees will shoot together, while more intimate, close-up moments will be captured in smaller groups. Of course, while you spend your evening with Ang, she is an open book to ask any related questions that might come up.

Who is this class for? This class is designed for photographers who aim to evoke deeper emotion in their images, gain confidence in posing, and never run out of creative ideas. It will also cover the technical aspects of shooting into the sun, capturing flares and the golden glow, as well as working during blue hour. While the class is valuable for photographers of various skill levels, it is especially beneficial for those who are already comfortable with their camera and settings, allowing them to focus on the finer details of the shoot and build confidence in intimate maternity and sunset sessions.
